End of Year 2025 Updates
Hope Namungo is a nonprofit foundation whose mission is to walk alongside the people of Namungo Village, Uganda, providing access to education, clean water and healthcare. Holy Trinity Episcopal Church (since 2017) and Embrace Church (since 2024) have been active partners in the relationship with Namungo Village. The churches are continuing their support of the village through the Hope Namungo foundation. After receiving its 501(c)(3) nonprofit designation from the IRS in August 2025, the foundation moved quickly to put that mission into action.
Since then, 28 children have been sent to school, a site has been prepared for a new well on ministry land with drilling to begin soon, and all sponsored children have received mattresses, offering greater comfort and dignity in their daily lives.
Looking ahead, Hope Namungo has set an ambitious goal of sending 100 children to school in 2026. As of early January, 62 children have already been sponsored. Additional donations have supported a Christmas celebration, clean-water initiatives, feminine products, healthcare needs, and the foundation’s general fund.

Child Sponsorship Goal for 2026
Hope Namungo's Goal for Child Sponsorships is to send 100 children to school in Namungo Village, Uganda for the 2026 school year. In Uganda, the new school year begins in January and consists of three terms. At the end of each school year (December), the students take national exams that determine whether they are eligible to move to the next level or remain in their current level.
We have secured sponsorships for 62 children to continue their schooling or to begin school in Namungo Village.
